Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood living in "a white bubble." She also explains how that realization has affected the parenting style of her adoptees who are multi-racial. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about the color of her skin until she got to know her adoptive sister from South Korea. Meg was asked whether she was treated differently in the times they went out with their parents and then the time they were on their own. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had caused me to feel." She became enraged at the time, and chose to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl along with her 13-year-old husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. Their daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who was adopted by the couple in 2012.
