Laura Linney, best known for playing strong, yet vulnerable characters, is one of the most celebrated American actors of today. After spending the summers in her father's company Laura Linney was captivated with the theatre. Later in her time at Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. Her Broadway career soon after completing her degree after which she made her TV debut in the next year. Innumerable appearances in films, and television as well as stage productions ever since. Her achievements have been numerous during her professional career, including the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Despite her numerous accolades, she is still a lover of theatre and has appeared on both screen and stage.
