Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become the Romanian gymnastics coach. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she took home 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974, she became the overall junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman ever to remove the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business in her teens. The path she took to success began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. Ice Capades was a show that featured ice-skating with actors.
